Questions and answers

What is an IT audit?

An IT audit is a structured review of the technology your business uses. We check how your devices, accounts, network, backups and cloud services are set up, and report what is working, what is at risk, and what to fix first.

Who is an IT audit for?

Small and medium businesses in Australia that want a clear picture of their IT. That includes businesses with an in-house IT person, an outside IT provider, or nobody formally in charge of IT.

What do I get at the end?

A written report with prioritised findings and practical recommendations, followed by a walkthrough where we go through the results with you and answer your questions.

Which audit should I start with?

If you are not sure, start with the IT health check. It covers a little of everything and shows which areas need a closer look. You can also describe your situation in the request form and we will suggest a scope.

Do you need to come on-site?

Not always. Some checks can be done remotely and some are easier in person. We agree the approach with you during discovery.

Will the audit disrupt my staff?

We agree timing with you before the review starts and plan the work to keep disruption low.

What access do you need?

Only the access the agreed scope needs. We agree with you how access is given, and you can remove it when the audit ends. Please do not send passwords through the request form.

How much does an audit cost?

It depends on the size of your business and the scope of the audit. After the discovery conversation we give you a quote for the agreed scope before any work starts.

How long does an audit take?

It depends on the size of your business and how many areas are in scope. We give you an expected timeframe during discovery, before any work starts.

Is an Essential Eight maturity review a certification?

No. It is an assessment of where your business sits against each of the eight strategies, with steps to reach your target maturity level.

Can my current IT provider be involved?

Yes. Your IT provider is welcome to join the discovery conversation and the report walkthrough, and the recommendations are written so they can act on them.

Still have a question?
